About the role
The Volunteer will be part of the Brand & Communications department, working on English/Arabic translation projects. He/ she should have excellent competencies in both Arabic and English languages and able to deliver accurate translation of English materials to Arabic, and vice-versa.
Key responsibilities & outcomes
- Translate technical and non-technical materials from English into Arabic
- Interpret written external materials from English into Arabic including annual report, press releases, etc.
- Read & understand the context of external content, using specialized medical dictionaries & translation tools
- Assist in editing, copyediting and proofreading text to ensure accuracy & consistently.
- Assist in developing the Arabic glossary.
About You
- Currently studying towards Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Languages, Humanities, Social Sciences or Public Health.
- Fluency in Arabic & English.
- Good research, data collection & analytical skills using different sources.
- Fast learner.
- Ability to use MS desktop applications (Excel Sheet, Word & PowerPoint).
- Attention to details.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Own laptop/desktop machine.
